Rescue Mission of Roanoke Inc. seeks a dedicated Laundry Services Technician to manage the facility's laundry operations and support shelter guests daily.

You will supervise volunteers, maintain equipment, and ensure a clean, safe laundry area while coordinating with shelter leadership and staff on tasks and schedules.

Qualifications

Learn and operate commercial washer and dryer equipment.
Organize and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
Maintain and organize inventory.
Serve the needs of shelter guests with care.
Direct volunteers in completing assigned tasks.
Attend shelter and facilities meetings as scheduled.
Proficient in Google Suites and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Laundry Services Technician

Laundry Services Technician serves to provide for the safe operation of the Rescue Mission’s laundry services ministry, which operates 365 days a year. Supports the laundry needs of the Mission.

Reports to: Director of Shelter Services

Hours of Availability: Full Time - 6:00pm -3:00am; (days may vary) up to 40hrs/ week. Weekends & holidays as scheduled Part Time - 3:00am - 11:00am; days may vary. Weekends & holidays as scheduled

Compensation: $16.50/hour (non-exempt/hourly)

Career Summary (may include other duties as assigned)

Laundry Services Technicians provide laundry services for shelter guests and associated ministries within the Rescue Mission. They maintain the laundry area and equipment for proper usage. Distribute completed laundry to appropriate guests. Supervise volunteers with instructions and support. Responsible for the safety and security of the laundry area to include equipment and personal belongings. All Rescue Mission of Roanoke team members may be asked to complete other duties as assigned by the Mission Leadership team.
