Primary Purpose:

The Housekeeping Associate is responsible for providing guests with an excellent room experience by delivering friendly, attentive, and timely service, ensuring guest rooms and public areas meet high cleanliness standards and are well-presented.

Work Performed:

The duties include:

• Cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, public areas, and laundry according to established protocols, including:
• Removing used and unused linens and towels
• Disinfecting high-touch surfaces and amenities
• Cleaning bathrooms
• Cleaning glass, mirrors, dusting, and polishing furniture and equipment
• Replacing burned-out light bulbs
• Remaking beds with clean linens
• Replenishing supplies such as glasses, toiletries, and bathroom essentials
• Emptying wastebaskets and transporting trash
• Cleaning rugs, carpets, upholstery, and draperies
• Using approved cleaning chemicals safely
• Operating, stocking, and maintaining storage closets and carts with linens, towels, toiletries, and cleaning supplies
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization in all work areas
• Sorting laundry by color, fabric, and dirt content, and using appropriate laundering techniques
• Using laundering equipment and chemicals correctly
• Conducting rounds to ensure public areas are disinfected and tidy, addressing any issues
• Upholding quality standards based on guest satisfaction metrics and company guidelines
• Training new associates and supporting performance development
• Performing deep cleaning and preventive maintenance as scheduled, using power equipment when applicable
• Protecting hotel and guest property, reporting damages, theft, and lost articles
• Following safety, security, and company policies; reporting issues and hazards
• Performing any other duties necessary to fulfill the primary purpose of the role

Qualifications:

Preferred Experience: Previous hotel housekeeping or relevant cleaning experience; prior customer service experience

Preferred Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift at least 50 lbs occasionally and 20 lbs regularly; ability to bend, squat, walk, and stand for extended periods

Other Requirements: Flexibility to work day shifts, early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
