Job description

Primary Responsibilities

1. Load articles into washers and dryers.
2. Understand and add specified amounts of detergent, soap, or other cleaning agents.
3. Operate the washer and dryer controls.
4. Clean the lint in the dryer filters twice a day.
5. Transfer all linens from the washer to the dryer immediately upon completion of the first washing cycle, start a new load, and perform basic duties after the drying cycle.
6. Ensure that all storage and laundry rooms are locked before clocking out.
7. Remove laundry from chutes and carts; presort linens to identify stained or torn items; maintain count of discarded items.
8. Fold and stack towels, sheets, and other linens.
9. Clean storeroom and laundry area.
10. Process damaged linen.
11. Ensure sufficient linens are available per floor and stock each floor accordingly.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Experience with washer/dryer equipment required.
• Ability to work independently.
• Customer service experience.
