Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Laundry Attendant to join our team at the Mechanicsburg Fairfield Inn. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and quality standards in laundry operations, supporting guest services, and ensuring a smooth laundry process.

Responsibilities

• Operate laundry and dry cleaning machinery according to hotel standards.
• Clean, press, and finish staff and guest garments, as well as fabrics and articles in guest rooms.
• Sort, pretreat, wash, dry, iron, and fold linens.
• Inspect linens for tears or stains, rejecting or reclaiming as necessary.
• Mend and sew linens as needed.
• Manage linen requisitions for banquet and restaurant needs.
• Deliver guest service supplies to rooms.
• Process contract-cleaned linens.
• Restock housekeeping closets and carts.
• Provide towel service to recreation areas.

Requirements

• Flexible schedule availability, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, management, and co-workers; bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
• Knowledge of laundry equipment, chemical handling, and fabric finishing techniques.
• Adherence to safety procedures and proper chemical use according to OSHA regulations.
