The Village at Hamilton Pointe is seeking a Laundry Aide for the full-time evening shift in Newburgh, Indiana. You will help keep residents’ environment clean and comfortable by handling laundry tasks and ensuring proper distribution of clean linens.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull and move equipment and supplies in excess of 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand, bend, and walk for long periods during shift.

Responsibilities

• Washing, drying, folding, and distributing resident and facility laundry.
• Sort and handle linens and personal clothing properly.
• Return clean laundry to correct resident or department; maintain clean, safe area.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures; report maintenance promptly.

Laundry Aide Primary Responsibilities

The Laundry Aide is responsible for providing quality laundry services for our residents and facility while maintaining cleanliness, organization, and established quality standards.

Responsibilities may include:

• Washing, drying, folding, and distributing resident and facility laundry
• Properly sorting and handling linens and personal clothing
• Ensuring clean laundry is returned to the appropriate resident or department
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized laundry area
• Following infection control and safety procedures
• Properly using laundry equipment and supplies
• Reporting equipment or maintenance concerns promptly
• Working as part of the team to help provide a clean and comfortable environment for our residents

Responsibilities

Laundry Aide Essential Functions

• Laundry Aide will follow established policies/procedures of laundry tasks
• Use proper protocols for picking up soiled linens, including isolation linens, and transporting them to the laundry department
• Use proper protective clothing/equipment while performing laundry duties
• Laundry Aide will maintain all cleaning schedules for each assigned area and following the laundry department schedules
• Maintain the confidentiality of all residents and their care to ensure residents rights, privacy and property are protected at all times
• Report and document resident and/or visitor incidents, accidents, complaints or allegations according to the facility’s policy and procedure using the designated occurrence reporting system
