Athens Health and Rehabilitation is hiring a full-time Laundry Aide for the Day Shift. You will wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident clothing and linens, maintaining clean facilities and following infection-control procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
• Previous laundry, housekeeping, environmental services, or long-term care experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident clothing and facility linens
• Sort laundry appropriately before washing
• Ensure residents' personal clothing is properly handled and returned
• Maintain an adequate supply of clean linens throughout the facility
• Follow established laundry, sanitation, and infection-control procedures
• Operate laundry equipment safely and appropriately
• Keep the laundry room and work areas clean, organized, and sanitary
• Report damaged equipment or safety concerns promptly
• Handle residents' personal belongings with care and respect
• Assist the Environmental Services/Housekeeping team as needed
• Follow all facility policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements

Position Overview

The Laundry Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary supply of resident clothing, linens, bedding, and other washable items throughout the facility.

You’ll work as part of our Environmental Services team to ensure laundry is properly washed, dried, folded, organized, and returned to the appropriate residents and areas of the facility.

What You’ll Do
