Job summary

Homeviewhealthandrehab is seeking a part-time Laundry Aide to provide a full range of laundry services for the facility, staff and residents and to maintain a high-quality laundry program that meets facility standards.

As part of our Housekeeping team, you will follow established procedures, handle soiled linens safely, use proper protective equipment, and keep cleaning schedules while protecting residents' privacy and dignity.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull and move equipment, supplies, etc in excess of 50 lbs.
• Must be able to walk, stand, bend and perform duties for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Follow established policies and procedures for laundry tasks.
• Use proper protocols for handling and transporting soiled linens, including isolation linens.
• Wear proper protective clothing/equipment while performing laundry duties.
• Maintain all cleaning schedules for assigned areas and the laundry department.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents and their care at all times.
• Document incidents, accidents or complaints per facility policy.

Laundry Aide Primary Responsibilities

The Laundry Aide is responsible for providing the full range of laundry services to the facility, staff and residents and to maintain a successful laundry program that meets facility quality assurance standards.

Responsibilities

Laundry Aide Essential Functions

• Laundry Aide will follow established policies/procedures of laundry tasks
• Use proper protocols for picking up soiled linens, including isolation linens, and transporting them to the laundry department
• Use proper protective clothing/equipment while performing laundry duties
• Laundry Aide will maintain all cleaning schedules for each assigned area and following the laundry department schedules
• Maintain the confidentiality of all residents and their care to ensure residents rights, privacy and property are protected at all times
• Report and document resident and/or visitor incidents, accidents, complaints or allegations according to the facility’s policy and procedure using the designated occurrence reporting system
