Job summary

Emerald Nursing & Rehab Lancaster in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Laundry Aide to maintain cleanliness and hygiene by washing, drying, and delivering patient clothing and linens in a timely manner. This role supports the EVS team and reports to the Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor.

The schedule is every other weekend, 6am-2pm, with hours negotiable. Requirements include a high school diploma, healthcare experience preferred, and the ability to lift 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting (new graduates welcome to apply!)
• Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, and fold patient clothing and linens according to facility protocols.
• Operate laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and ironing machines.
• Fold and package linens and clothing for distribution to patients and staff.
• Maintain accurate records of laundry production and inventory.
• Ensure that all laundry equipment is properly cleaned and maintained.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operation of the laundry department
