Job summary

Park View is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping/Laundry Aide to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents. You will perform laundry duties, ensure a steady supply of linens, and support the care team with timely delivery of clean items, while following facility standards.

The role requires at least 1 year of healthcare housekeeping or laundry experience, the ability to lift 50 pounds, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in healthcare housekeeping/laundry.
• Must lift, push, pull and move equipment exceeding 50 pounds.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; experience in nursing home housekeeping preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform laundry duties: wash, dry, fold, and iron patient garments and linens.
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of linens, towels, and laundry equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized laundry area following facility standards.
• Assist with other housekeeping duties as needed.
• Collaborate with care team to deliver clean laundry promptly to patients.
• Maintain confidentiality when handling patient belongings and sensitive information.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

The primary purpose of the Housekeeping/Laundry Aide is to perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility and as may be directed by the Administrator and/or Supervisor to assure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary manner and that an adequate supply of linen in on hand at all times to meet the needs of the residents.

Shifts:

• Monday's, Tuesday's 3pm-8pm
• Wednesday's 7am-3pm Including every other weekend.

Experience:

• Must have 1 year or more experience in healthcare housekeeping/laundry

General Qualifications:

• Must be able to lift, push, pull and move equipment, supplies, etc., in excess of fifty (50) pounds.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixture of cleaning compounds, liquids, cleaning instructions, etc.
• Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must have a minimum one-year experience working in a nursing homehousekeeping position

Must be able to stand most shift and do repetitive arm/shoulder movements.
