Reworld is seeking an entry-level Waste Processing Technician I in New York to safely handle waste processing tasks. Responsibilities include off-loading inbound trucks, container checks, sampling, and operating forklifts and related equipment.

The role requires basic mechanical understanding, ability to work around moving parts, and a commitment to safety. Benefits include health coverage, retirement plan, and paid time off for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ year of shipping/receiving experience.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Able to pass respirator fit test.
• Demonstrate safety and inclusive workplace values.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including fork trucks, balers, and compactors.
• Process waste materials into like commodities per vendor specs.
• General housekeeping and area maintenance.
• Preventative maintenance paperwork for equipment.
• Load/unload trailers and manage collection points.
• Demonstrate alignment with Reworld values and safety policies.
• Interact with plant personnel to determine local needs.
