Job summary

Wellstar Health System is offering a 12-month RN Residency for new graduates with less than 6 months of professional nursing experience. The program provides unit-based support, NRP sessions, and educator-guided orientation to ease transition into professional practice.

Residents will engage in sequential orientation phases: system onboarding, core nursing sessions, and specialty onboarding with monthly NRP sessions. Start dates vary for Augusta and Grovetown areas.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing required.
• Bachelor's Degree (BSN) preferred.
• RN license (Georgia) required upon hire; BLS instructor or certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performs the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, implementation, evaluation) using evidence-based practice.
• Coordinate care through partnerships to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide patient- and family-centered care, respecting cultural diversity and engaging patients and families in the plan of care.
