Job summary

Wellstar Health System is offering a Nurse Residency position for new graduates with less than six months of experience as a Registered Nurse. The RN Resident will complete a 12-month program, supported by unit leaders, educators, and preceptors to help transition into professional practice.

On-site orientation covers system orientation, core nursing onboarding, specialty onboarding, and monthly NRP sessions, with supervision by unit leaders and nurse educators to ensure patient care excellence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing required.
• Bachelor's Degree (BSN) preferred.
• RN license (Single State) or RN by Multi-state Compact.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or instructor status.

Responsibilities

• Performs the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, implementation and evaluation) with evidence-based practice.
• Coordinate care through partnerships to support patient outcomes and family-centered care.
• Provide care aligned with the Nursing Scope and Standards and Code of Ethics for Nurses.
