Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC seeks an Avionics Systems Engineer for the Falcon & Dragon program in Hawthorne, CA. You will bridge mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines to enable a high-rate launch cadence while ensuring safety and reliability.

You will analyze designs, develop validation techniques, and implement new designs, while troubleshooting real-time issues across integration and launch operations. Strong cross-team collaboration is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field, science or math.
• 1+ years of experience using Matlab, C++ or Python.
• 1+ years of experience with electrical component design, system level integration of electronic components or system level testing.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Falcon & Dragon avionics system throughout all stages of integration, from production and test to launch and refurbishment.
• Troubleshoot issues on prototype and production assemblies on an aggressive production schedule.
• Work with other teams and customers to define project scope and requirements as designs move from concept to production.
• Develop tools and processes to support an unprecedented launch rate.
• Assess design/manufacturing for manufacturability, quality, and cost; drive optimization.
• Lead system projects with schedules, tasks, and required resources.
