Job summary

Via is seeking a Strategy & Operations Principal - Launch to lead the introduction of new services across markets. You will own the end-to-end launch, set up operations, and lead a 30+ frontline team while partnering with transit agencies and community stakeholders.

This senior role requires strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and the ability to drive performance, build teams, and shape Via's future product lines in high-visibility markets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in operations, consulting, strategy, tech, or equivalent with leadership experience.
• Ownership mindset: plan ahead, manage risks, design preventing processes.
• Leadership to motivate across frontline to agency CEOs.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and drive accountability.
• Detail oriented with strong analytical judgment.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage launch of new Via services from tech implementation to operational setup.
• Define and manage KPIs across on-time performance, rider satisfaction, safety and cost efficiency.
• Translate weekly/monthly performance data into decisions.
• Lead a 30+ team of field operators and drivers during launch transitions including hiring and coaching.
• Build an operation where people feel accountable, supported, and proud of delivery.
• Hire, develop and train frontline leaders for long-term operations.
• Own Via's relationship with transit agency partners and represent Via to stakeholders and riders.
• Drive continuous improvement across vehicle operations, maintenance, and service delivery.
• Identify and execute cost and efficiency improvements while maintaining service quality.
• Influence the product roadmap for Via's newest product lines.
