Job summary

Via is seeking a General Manager of Launch in New York to lead the rollout of new services across markets. You will own technology implementation, operational setup and the performance of launches, coordinating a 30+ frontline team and managing critical transit agency partnerships.

We expect a strong ownership mindset, leadership ability, and the capacity to drive KPIs across operations, safety and cost efficiency while traveling up to 50% of the time.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in operations, consulting, strategy, tech or a field with meaningful client accountability and a track record of leading big projects and developing teams.
• Ownership mentality: you get things done, plan ahead, manage risks and fix issues quickly.
• Leadership instinct to motivate and inspire individuals across roles up to a transit agency CEO.
• Able to multitask, delegate, prioritize and take responsibility.
• Attention to detail and strong operational judgment; comfortable with spreadsheets and field work.
• Strong partner and stakeholder sophistication for complex, high-stakes relationships.
• Mission alignment with Via's public agency partners and communities.
• Flexible and adaptable to rapid change and on-the-fly problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage launch of new Via services, from technology implementation to operational setup.
• Define and manage KPIs across on-time performance, rider satisfaction, safety and cost efficiency.
• Translate weekly and monthly performance data into actionable decisions.
• Lead a 30+ field operations and driver team during launch transition; hire, coach and manage performance.
• Build an accountable, supported and proud operational culture.
• Hire, develop and train frontline leaders for long-term operations.
• Own Via's relationship with transit agency partners and represent to community stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement in vehicle operations, maintenance and service delivery.
• Influence the product roadmap for Via's newest product lines.
