Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Launch Ops Manufacturing Engineer to help drive the rate and reliability of critical launch infrastructure and production lines. You’ll lead manufacturing system design, support DFx activities, and collaborate across design, quality, and supply chain to accelerate space hardware builds.

The role emphasizes safety, lean practices, and compliance with AS9100/ISO 9001 standards, with opportunities to grow domain expertise in cryogenics, hydraulics, and electronics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
  • 1+ years crafting English work instructions.
  • Willingness to work second shift and extended hours.

Responsibilities

  • Support the industrialization of new products in areas such as solar arrays, integration and test, avionics, and structures.
  • Contribute to design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), design for test (DFT).
  • Translate requirements into robust, repeatable manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with design, quality, supply chain, and production teams to accelerate space hardware builds.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation and inspection plans.
  • Evaluate new manufacturing technologies and methods including additive manufacturing.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions to improve reliability.
  • Ensure work aligns with AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality standards.
