Job summary

Vast, based in Long Beach, California, is seeking an Integration Engineer for Launch Operations to support vehicle-level integration, launch processing, and campaign execution for Haven space stations.

You will define vehicle configuration states, develop ATLO sequences, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance throughout testing and launch windows. Travel up to 50% may be required during active campaigns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Electrical engineering or related field.
• 4+ years aerospace integration engineering experience.
• Direct experience with spacecraft launch campaigns or launch-site operations (Cape Canaveral, Vandenberg, KSC).

Responsibilities

• Define and manage vehicle configuration states for test readiness, shipping, and launch processing.
• Develop ATLO sequences for Haven-1 and coordinate state transitions between integration, test, and launch operations.
• Plan handling of flight hardware and MGSE (lifting, weighing, breakover, transport).
• Support launch site operations including payload processing, vehicle stacking, and launch campaigns.

Education

Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline
