Job summary

Vast Space Llc. is seeking an Integration Engineer, Launch Operations, to support vehicle-level integration, launch processing, and launch campaigns for Haven-1 and future modules. The role reports to the Senior Integration Engineer and is based in Long Beach, CA.

You will coordinate with cross-functional teams, manage configuration states, and develop ATLO sequences to ensure readiness and safety across testing, integration, and launch activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field as listed.
• 4+ years of aerospace integration engineering experience.
• Direct experience supporting spacecraft launch campaigns and launch site operations.
• Hands-on experience with spacecraft hardware integration and critical lifts.
• Experience authoring integration procedures and sequencing plans.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage vehicle configuration states for test readiness, shipping, and launch processing.
• Develop and execute ATLO sequences for Haven-1 and coordinate state transitions.
• Plan handling of flight hardware and MGSE for lifting, weighing, and transport.
• Support launch site ops including payload processing and launch campaign execution.
• Coordinate with teams to determine tooling needs and ensure vehicle safety before launch.
• Ensure cleanliness and environmental requirements during all stages of integration and launch.
• Author integration planning and issue work orders; work with production and technicians.
