Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Launch Operations Engineer to lead the design and implementation of efficient manufacturing and launch systems for New Glenn. You will own planning and execution of launch vehicle testing and configure vehicles for launch.

Role requires collaboration across design, quality, supply chain and production teams to improve reliability, reduce costs, and accelerate production timelines with a strong focus on safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
• Experience in manufacturing/industrial/process engineering levels (3+ Level II, 5+ Level III, 8+ SR).
• Ability to write English work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Support industrialization of new products (solar arrays, integration and test, avionics, structures).
• Translate requirements into robust manufacturing processes for space vehicles.
• Collaborate with design, QA, supply chain and production to accelerate building a road to space.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation (work instructions, process flows, tool designs, inspection plans).
• Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies (composites, machining, additive manufacturing, advanced assembly).
• Perform root cause analysis of non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
