Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in California seeks an experienced engineer for mechanical and electrical integration of components, subsystems, and test articles. You will work with vacuum systems, high-current hardware, harnesses, and fixtures, applying design-for-manufacturability to prototype and test assemblies.

The role requires a bachelor’s in engineering and 5–8 years of experience with Creo and Windchill, along with strong drawing and tolerance skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
5-8 years developing models/assemblies and drawings.
Experience designing vibration fixtures and performing modal analysis.
Experience designing fixtures with high pressures and wide temperature ranges.
Experience with aerospace/launch GSE, fixtures, tooling or structures.
Strong CAD/assembly drawing creation and life-cycle management.

Responsibilities

Perform mechanical and electrical integration of components, subsystems, and test articles.
Set up, operate, and maintain vacuum systems and related hardware.
Work with high-voltage/high-amperage systems and ensure safety procedures.
Set up and operate furnaces and thermal processing equipment; monitor runs.
Support test setups, monitoring, and post-test teardown; document results.
