Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a fluid systems engineer to lead design, development, and testing of rocket fluid systems for heavy‑lift vehicles. You will own hardware development from concept through qualification, working with valves, regulators, pressure vessels and instrumentation under ASME Y14.5 guidelines.

The role emphasizes cross‑functional collaboration, risk management, and delivering robust, cost‑effective solutions for spaceflight systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design fluid component hardware to meet cost, performance and schedule constraints.
• Design and route complex fluid subsystems (pressurization, pneumatics, RCS).
• Create and own development, acceptance and qualification test activities for your hardware.
• Work with fluid components (valves, regulators, pressure vessels and instrumentation).
• Collaborate with other groups to ensure systems work together and manage risk.
