Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a systems engineer focused on fluids and piping for the launch pad infrastructure, including high‑pressure gas, cryogenic, and hydraulic systems. You will own subsystem requirements and work with designers, verifying design decisions and coordinating with the broader SE team.

The role requires collaboration with piping/fluid designers, CONOPS development, ICD maintenance, and strong interface with engineers and operators across fluid, controls, avionics, and structure

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace or related field.
• Experience with fluid subsystem design (piping, gas, hydraulics, cryogenics).
• Ability to collaborate across controls, software, avionics, electrical or structures.
• Experience with requirement management tools (e.g., DOORS/DNG) or willingness to learn.
• Familiarity with aerospace or industrial safety standards and verification methods.

Responsibilities

• Co‑lead assessment and definition of fluid subsystem solutions (piping, gas panels, hydraulic systems) for the next‑generation Launch Pad.
• Serve as SE focal point for one or more fluid subsystems—routing, sizing, material selection.
