Job summary

Howmet Aerospace is seeking a Launch Engineering Intern to join the HOWMET MEXICO/HOWMET DEL RIO, TX team. The intern will assist engineering and manufacturing in driving quality and delivery improvements through process control and improvement initiatives.

The program includes lunch sessions with senior leaders, plant tours, networking, and community volunteer activities during the 2027 Summer Internship. Applicants must be able to commute to the Mexican plant and be authorized to work in the

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum completion of Sophomore level coursework from an accredited institution.
• US Passport required to commute daily to our Mexican plant.
• Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.

• Assist engineering and manufacturing to drive improvements in quality and delivery through process control and improvement initiatives.
• Support process engineering and manufacturing teams to optimize operations during the summer internship.

Launch Engineering Intern position will be located in our HOWMET MEXICO/HOWMET DEL RIO, TX

We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic student to join our Plant HOWMET MEXICO/HOWMET DEL RIO, TX team as a Process Engineer Summer Intern. This position will assist engineering and manufacturing in driving improvements in quality and delivery performance through process control and improvement initiatives.

The 2027 Summer Internship Program also includes: lunch & learns presented by senior leaders, tours of our manufacturing plants & processes, networking opportunities, volunteering in the local community, and fun social activities to connect with fellow interns.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications:

• Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum completion of Sophomore level coursework from an accredited institution.
• Employee must have a current US Passport to commute every day to our Mexican plant
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Engineering (Mechanical, aerospace,etc) from an accredited institution.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• Ability to work in a self-directed or team environment
• Strong organizational skills
• Relevant internship/work/research experience a plus
