Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Laporte, IN is seeking a Full-time engineer to support manufacturing through process control and improvement initiatives, ensuring product integrity and profitability.

You will collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to complete projects, develop work instructions, and maintain knowledge of job costs. This is an on-site position with opportunities to impact casting operations.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a High School diploma or GED equivalency is required.
• Current enrolled in the pursuit of a degree toward a BS in Engineering / Management.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.

• Develop new, and refine existing investment casting product to reduce scrap, rework, and manufacturing costs.

Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY

This position will support manufacturing through process control & improvement initiatives, assume responsibility for integrity for assigned products, establishes & maintains external & internal customer contacts, documents & prepares part specific work instructions & maintain knowledge of job cost & develop/implement appropriate plans to improve profitability.
