Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. is seeking a Summer Intern in Process Engineering to support the Del Rio, TX manufacturing team.

The intern will assist with process control and improvements to enhance quality and delivery performance at the Del Rio plant. The 2027 Summer Internship Program includes lunch & learns presented by senior leaders, plant tours, networking opportunities, volunteering in the local community, and mentorship from experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, aerospace) from an accredited institution.
• Current student status with proof of enrollment may be required.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist process engineering and manufacturing to drive quality and delivery improvements through process control.
• Support process optimization initiatives and data analysis to improve throughput.

We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic student to join our Plant HOWMET MEXICO/HOWMET DEL RIO, TXteam as a Process Engineer Summer Intern. This position will assist engineering and manufacturing in driving improvements in quality and delivery performance through process control and improvement initiatives.

The 2027 Summer Internship Program also includes: lunch & learns presented by senior leaders, tours of our manufacturing plants & processes, networking opportunities, volunteering in the local community, and fun social activities to connect with fellow interns.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from anaccredited institution.
• Minimum completion of Sophomore level coursework from an accredited institution.
• Employee must have a current US Passport to commute every day to our Mexican plant
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering (Mechanical, aerospace) from an accredited institution.
• Active student status required; must provide proof of enrollment.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a self-directed or team environment.
• Strong organizational skills.
