Job summary

Esperanza Arts Center, located in the Philadelphia region, seeks a Gallery & Engagement Coordinator to manage Galeria Esperanza exhibitions, artist coordination, ticketing, and audience engagement. The role requires onsite work for openings and events, with a focus on delivering a professional, memorable visitor experience.

You will collaborate with the Senior VP, resident artists, and stakeholders to grow the exhibition program and mentor fellows in gallery operations and community outreach.

Qualifications

• 3+ years professional experience in galleries, museums, performance venues, or non-profit arts organizations.
• Proven ability to lead and coordinate exhibitions, community engagement initiatives, and arts events.
• Experience generating and executing creative exhibition concepts and managing large information flows.
• Fluency in Spanish and English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate administrative aspects of Galeria Esperanza exhibitions and artist residency activities.
• Plan and implement exhibit installations, artist coordination, and exhibition scheduling with guest curators.
• Schedule, train, and supervise gallery and front of house staff including Mentor Fellows.
• Maintain attendance, sales, and box office records; coordinate artist payments.
• Coordinate gallery events (opening receptions, tours, talks) and assist with marketing collateral.
• Collaborate with Marketing to develop copy, media alerts, and signage for exhibitions and events.
• Work onsite for openings, performances, and other gallery activities.
