Job summary

Nueva Esperanza in Philadelphia seeks a Community Outreach Associate to support the Housing & Economic Development portfolio, focusing on community education, advocacy, and direct service to advance an Opportunity Community in Hunting Park.

You will help build ambassador networks, coordinate events, create materials, engage residents and stakeholders, and support youth leadership, environmental initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 2 years of demonstrated work and/or volunteer experience in community outreach, engagement, or organizing.
• Ability to work independently with a high level of energy and contribute to the larger team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support block-level ambassador network to cultivate community participation and leadership.
• Assist with community education campaigns and develop educational/marketing materials.
• Coordinate events, workshops, and engagement activities for residents and stakeholders.
• Support management of community volunteers for events and activities.
• Assist in youth leadership development programs and internships.
