Job summary

Esperanza seeks a Community Outreach Associate to advance the Housing & Economic Development division in Hunting Park and North Philadelphia. The role focuses on education, advocacy, and direct service to promote community prosperity.

You will build coalitions, coordinate volunteers, and support research and reporting, while engaging residents and local partners to drive positive neighborhood change.

Qualifications

• 2 years of demonstrated work and/or volunteer experience in community outreach, engagement or organizing.
• Bilingual proficiency is preferred (English/Spanish).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the block-level ambassador network to cultivate community participation and leadership.
• Assist in delivering community education campaigns and preparing materials for events.
• Support facilitation of community coalitions and groups.
• Help manage community volunteers for events and activities.
• Assist youth leadership development programs and internships.
• Maintain relationships with residents, business owners and other stakeholders for outreach and advocacy.
