Job summary

Airalo is seeking a versatile Solution Architect to lead regulatory alignment and system integration of our Global MVNO Core. You will bridge the gap between standardized sprints and local market needs, ensuring compliant interconnectivity and scalable implementation.

In this role, you will guide Core Network Engineers on functional requirements while coordinating with regulators, MNOs, and partners. This position is fully remote, with opportunities to influence a global product used by

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst or Solution Architect.
• Ability to translate regulatory documents into actionable engineering tasks.
• Comfortable discussing SIP, SMS routing, and MNP databases with engineers.
• Experience writing clear User Stories, Functional Specs, and managing Jira tickets.
• Experience with international roaming, interconnectivity, and varying global telecom markets.
• Ability to create clear, structured technical documentation and process flowcharts.
• Experience coaching and mentoring team members.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary conduit between regulatory findings and the Core Network team, translating regional mandates into functional requirements.
• Lead requirement discovery workshops with local MNOs, regulators, and internal teams.
• Compare local regulatory requirements with platform capabilities and collaborate on enhancements and trade-offs.
• Create high-level technical workflows for regulatory services to guide engineering teams.
• Define data exchange requirements for Number Portability (MNP) and voice/SMS routing needs.
• Define data points and reporting frequencies required by local authorities and ensure data extraction tools are built.
• Lead acceptance criteria, test scenarios, and sign-off for country-specific regulatory hurdles.
• Manage the technical-regulatory checklist for multiple countries and escalate risks.
