Job summary

Amazon is hiring an Operations Manager in the United States (SC Longs) to lead a team of salaried and hourly staff. You will drive safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery while collaborating with Safety, HR, and other support groups.

The role requires a flexible schedule including weekends or overnight shifts and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent. You will guide large-scale projects with site and regional impact, balance workloads, and use data-driven decision making to meet business

Qualifications

• 3+ years of employee and performance management experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your team
• Lead large-scope projects with site and regional impact
• Create and implement productivity plans through forecast reviews, determining productivity requirements, and partnering with other Leaders to load balance
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
• Collaborate with all support teams including Safety, Ops Integration, Loss Prevention and Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives
• Lift up to 49 pounds, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach, as well as continuously climb and descend stairs
• Work in an environment where the noise level varies and is subject to variable temperatures and weather
• Work a flexible schedule (weekends and/or overnight shifts)
• Create and sustain a safe, efficient operation that delights customers through timely deliveries
