Job summary

Maersk is seeking an Operations Support Associate in Union City, CA to support day-to-day dispatch operations for Last Mile delivery services. You will collaborate with delivery teams, customers, drivers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely communication, compliance, and successful delivery execution.

The role requires 1–2 years in customer service, operations support, or logistics, with strong written and verbal communication and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound phone calls, emails, and messages while providing a high level of customer service.
• Monitor daily delivery operations and track the progress of delivery teams to ensure on-time service execution.
• Manage customer, driver, and partner escalations with professionalism and a sense of urgency.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders regarding delivery updates, delays, service exceptions, and operational issues.
• Perform real-time audits of delivery activity and operational data, identifying exceptions and escalating concerns as needed.
• Assist with administrative functions, including email correspondence, report generation, scheduling support, filing, and record maintenance.
• Monitor compliance with established operational procedures and report exceptions to management.
• Exercise sound judgment and independent decision-making when addressing operational issues during periods of limited supervision.
• Utilize transportation management systems, routing software, Microsoft Office applications, and other operational platforms to support daily business activities.
• Prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Support effective communication between delivery teams, transportation partners, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure service expectations are met.
• Maintain professionalism and composure while responding to time-sensitive situations and operational challenges.
