Job summary

nLIGHT has a temporary Manufacturing Specialist opening at our Vancouver location. You will join a production team to build high-powered lasers and components, performing electromechanical assembly and fiber splicing tasks on a day shift.

Experience is preferred but not required; individuals will receive on-the-job training to master small part assembly, optical handling, иnd precision inspection. The role offers a pathway to long-term opportunities within the company.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work the Day Shift: 7AM-3:30PM.
• Able to sit/stand/walk for 8–12 hours and lift up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Experience working in a clean room environment, wearing clean room garments and using a microscope.

Responsibilities

• Learns and performs electromechanical assembly operations
• Operates test equipment
• Uses manual and electronic tools for mechanical and optical assembly
• Enters production data into computer-based system
• Contributes as a valued team member
• Performs production tasks which may include clean room work and handling solvents
• Follows documented work instructions and standards
• Reports irregularities lacking compliance with work instructions
• Ensures safety standards are met
• Checks equipment regularly and may perform basic troubleshooting
