Job summary

nLIGHT is seeking Manufacturing Specialist I-III in Camas, WA. No experience required; on-the-job training provided to perform hands-on production tasks including semiconductor processing, die bonding, wire bonding, and testing lasers. Shift options include Day and Swing with differential pay.

Responsibilities include electromechanical assembly, operating test equipment, data entry, and maintaining production reports while adhering to safety standards and clean room protocols.

Qualifications

• No experience required; on‑the‑job training provided.
• Must be comfortable with data entry.
• Good mechanical skills.
• Able to learn new software quickly.
• Soldering and microscope experience a plus.
• Experience with ESD practices and clean room protocol preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Learns and performs electromechanical assembly operations.
• Operates test equipment.
• Uses manual and electronic tools for mechanical and optical assembly.
• Enters production data into computer-based system.
• Contributes as a valued team member.
• Performs production tasks in a clean room environment and other required duties.
• Follows documented work instructions and standards and reports irregularities.
• Maintains safety and checks equipment for normal operation.
