Job summary
BrightView Landscapes is seeking a Landscaper I to support landscape maintenance across various properties in a role that involves basic landscaping tasks and safe operation of commercial equipment. You will assist with plant materials and landscape features while maintaining a professional, friendly demeanor on site.
Qualified candidates will be able to work outdoors, lift up to 40 lbs, and meet the certification requirements for level 1 equipment.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old and dependable.
- Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment.
- Certified on level 1 equipment (backpack blower, edger, string trimmer, walk-behind mower).
- Familiar with basic horticultural maintenance operations/practices.
Responsibilities
- Cut turf using power mowers, trim and edge with gas-powered tools.
- Prune shrubs and low trees as needed.
- Plant and maintain flowerbeds.
- Operate edger and line trimmer along sidewalks and beds.
- Keep area clean and maintain equipment.
- Report unsafe conditions to Crew Leader.
