Job summary

BrightView Landscapes is seeking a dedicated Landscaper I to support landscape maintenance across commercial properties. You will perform basic tasks under supervision, operate gas-powered equipment safely, and assist with plant material upkeep and landscape features.

This entry-level role requires physical fitness, ability to lift up to 40 lbs, and flexibility to work outdoors in varying weather, including weekends or holidays as needed. Valid driver's license preferred in some duties.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and dependable.
• Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment.
• Certified on BrightView level 1 equipment (backpack blower, edger, trimmer, mower).
• Familiar with basic horticultural maintenance practices.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Cut turf with power mowers, trim, edge, and operate a gas-powered blower.
• Prune shrubs and low trees as needed to maintain shape.
• Plant and maintain flowerbeds.
• Operate edger and line trimmer along sidewalks and beds.
• Report unsafe conditions to the Crew Leader.
