Job summary

BrightView Landscapes is seeking a Landscaper I to support landscape maintenance for commercial properties. The role involves basic landscaping tasks under supervision, safe operation of equipment, and assisting with plant materials and landscape features.

Responsibilities include mowing, edging, pruning, planting, debris removal, and basic equipment upkeep while delivering friendly, safe service. Must be 18+ and able to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old and able to work outdoors in various weather.
• Certified on level 1 equipment (backpack blower, edger, trimmer, mower).
• Familiar with basic horticultural maintenance operations/practices.

Responsibilities

• Cut turf using various-sized power mowers, trimming, and edging with gas-powered tools.
• Prune shrubs and low trees to improve shape or remove damaged branches.
• Plant and maintain flowerbeds.
• Operate edgers/line trimmers along sidewalks and beds.
• Pick up trash and blow leaves before mowing.
• Mulch leaves and organic matter when mowing.
• Perform weeding by hand or with hand tools.
• Basic maintenance to extend equipment life.
• Remove trash and dead plants; maintain professional demeanor.
• Report unsafe conditions to leadership.
