Job summary

BrightView Landscapes, LLC is seeking a Landscaper I to provide landscape maintenance support for a variety of properties. You will operate traditional landscaping equipment, assist with plant materials, and help ensure safety and quality on outdoor sites.

This entry-level role requires 18+ years old, dependability, and certification on level 1 equipment. Work is outdoors, with potential for varied hours and teamwork with a BrightView crew.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• Enthusiastic and dependable.
• Ability to safely operate equipment like power saws and cutters.
• Certified on level 1 equipment (backpack blower, stick edger, string trimmer, walk-behind mower).
• Familiar with basic horticultural maintenance operations/practices.

Responsibilities

• Cut turf using power mowers, trim and edge with gas-powered equipment, and blow leaves.
• Prune shrubs and low trees to maintain shape or remove damaged branches.
• Plant and maintain flowerbeds.
• Operate edger and line trimmer along sidewalks and beds.
• Pick up trash and blow debris onto the turf before mowing.
• Mulch leaves and organic matter when mowing.
• Weed by hand or with a hoe.
• Perform basic maintenance to extend equipment life.
• Remove dead plants and trim as needed; maintain tidy areas.
• Be courteous to guests and customers; report unsafe conditions to Crew Leader.
