Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in Newport News, VA is seeking a Crew Member (Driver) to perform lawn mowing, mulching, trimming and general landscape maintenance on assigned properties.

Responsibilities include operating equipment, applying weed control and licensed chemicals, following plans with the Crew Leader, and loading gear onto the truck. A valid driver’s license is preferred and 2+ years of landscape installation experience is expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of landscape installation experience.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Holds a State Technician and/or Applicator license per local requirement.

Responsibilities

• Running equipment (skid steer, excavator, backhoe, etc.).
• Perform landscape maintenance with emphasis on weed control and licensed chemical applications.
• Store, transport, mix and apply chemicals per the law.
• Follow installation plans with Crew Leader and Operations Manager.
• Assist in loading/unloading equipment and supplies.
• Maintain equipment and clean work areas daily.
• Work safely, use tools per policy, and ensure quality.
• Keep job site, vehicles and offices safe and organized.
• It may be necessary to transport crew to sites in company vehicle.
• Perform other duties as required.
