Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Crew Leader to supervise a landscaping crew on job sites, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely quality work. You’ll train crew members, plan and direct tasks, manage materials and equipment, and address customer issues, reporting to the Operations Manager.

Requirements include a minimum of two years in landscape maintenance and a high school diploma or GED. A valid driver’s license is required; state licenses are preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Effective English communication; bilingual in Spanish highly preferred.
• Ability to train others and exercise leadership.
• Dependability; punctual and capable of varying hours based on weather/season.
• Strong interpersonal skills to resolve conflicts while staying composed.
• Ability to plan, organize and direct a team efficiently.
• Aptitude to identify opportunities to support team work.
• Can safely operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment.

Responsibilities

• Create schedules with management and follow job specifications (materials/timeframes).
• Organize, supervise, lead and train employees to complete projects within guidelines and timeframe.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and horticultural practices.
• Perform equipment preventative maintenance per program.
• Inspect job sites weekly; manage punch lists from the manager on site.
• Identify process, efficiency and quality improvements.
• Communicate with onsite clients per the plan.
• Respond to client requests and ensure needs are met.
• Keep manager informed of client concerns and site communications.
• Maintain safe working conditions and follow company safety guidelines.
