Job summary

Farmscape in Oakland, CA is seeking an experienced landscape construction foreman to lead residential and commercial projects. You will perform hands-on work in hardscape, irrigation, planting, grading, and drainage, while guiding crew members and coordinating with the Foreman to keep work moving safely and on schedule.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of landscape construction experience, proven crew leadership, and the ability to read landscape plans and use laser levels.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in landscape construction or landscape installation.
• Experience leading or helping lead a landscape construction crew.
• Experience with irrigation, grading, drainage, hardscape, carpentry, and planting.
• Able to use landscape plans, measurements, and grades with direction from the Foreman.
• Experience using construction tools and equipment safely.
• Able to calculate basic grades and use a laser level.
• Able to work well with a crew and communicate clearly with coworkers and clients.
• Follows safety rules and takes pride in doing quality work.
• Valid driver's license and proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and fix problems with irrigation systems
• Make lists of parts and materials needed for irrigation and construction work
• Use landscape construction tools and equipment safely
• Train and show crew members how to do landscape installation work safely and correctly
• Help lead the crew when the Foreman is not available
• Keep the jobsite, tools, equipment, and vehicles clean, organized, and safe
• Communicate clearly with the Foreman, crew members, and clients
• Follow safety rules and help make sure the crew works safely
• Drive between project sites and supply vendors (valid driver's license required)

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift 75lbs
• Ability to perform manual work, lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time
• Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in various weather conditions
