Job summary

Mariani Enterprises, LLC is seeking a Landscape Construction Crew Lead/Driver to oversee and perform outdoor installation projects, including grading, drainage, and installation of features such as fencing and stepping stones. You will lead a crew, operate equipment, and ensure safety and quality on site.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and the ability to manage crew activities, schedules, and training while delivering projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License with driving record in good standing.
• Minimum of 2+ years working experience in landscape construction.
• Knowledge of tools and equipment used in landscape construction.
• Knowledge and experience using heavy equipment such as Skid Steer.
• Ability to provide clear written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Clears out land and sets grade for landscape installation.
• Loads and unloads trucks by hand and hauls landscape components using hand tools or heavy equipment.
• Prepares and grades terrain.
• Digs trenches and installs drainage components.
• Digs holes for plants and trees using hand tools and heavy equipment.
• Installs fencing and other ornamental components; places boulders and stepping stones.
• Delegating tasks and overseeing the use of tools and equipment.
• Assessing progress and making recommendations.
• Ensuring all crew members obey health and safety regulations at all times.
• Completing inventory checks and equipment inspections.
• Preparing spreadsheets and other documents.
• Providing cost, material, equipment, and time estimates.
• Scheduling training sessions wherever required.
