Job summary

HOM, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Landlord Support Specialist to coordinate occupancy and participation across HUD housing programs. You will work with Housing Specialists to ensure compliance, resolve landlord concerns, and maintain accurate records in HOM systems.

The role requires handling a high-volume caseload (750-800) with a focus on timely lease-ups, renewals, and landlord engagement. Must pass background checks and have a valid AZ driver’s license; a degree is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications including SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Planner, Outlook, Word, Excel.
• Strong organizational skills with aptitude for project management and multitasking.
• Knowledgeable of AZ Residential Landlord & Tenant Act.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for landlords and property managers with HOM-assisted tenancies.
• Review and process RFTAs for initial lease-ups and moves, ensuring documentation and requirements are met.
• Review landlord and tenancy documentation for accuracy and coordinate with relevant teams for updates.
• Conduct rent reasonableness determinations using current market data and communicate findings to landlords.
• Coordinate lease renewals, notices, and documentation, and manage escalation when requirements are not met within timelines.
• Review housing payments and related records to identify and resolve issues affecting timely landlord payments.
