Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an Operations Supervisor - Landfill to lead a team of operators and laborers in a high-volume landfill site in the United States. The role focuses on safety, efficiency, and customer experience while meeting regulatory and permit requirements.

You will collaborate with the Operations and General Managers to execute plans, manage labor and disposal costs, and foster a culture of safety and engagement. Minimum supervisory experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of Lead Operators, Operators and/or General Laborers to ensure efficient landfill operation.
• Ensure fill sequencing plans are adhered to and density goals are achieved.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, regulatory and permit requirements.
• Work with Operations Manager and General Manager to implement strategic initiatives and budget goals.
• Lead safety programs and maintain accident prevention measures.
• Provide high-quality customer experience and resolve service requests and issues.
• Control labor hours and disposal expenses per plans and budgets.
• Engage and develop team members for advancement and engagement.
