Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an Operations Supervisor – Landfill to lead a team of Lead Operators, Operators and/or General Laborers. You will ensure fill sequencing, density goals and permit compliance while driving safety, customer experience and efficiency across shift operations.

Responsibilities include achieving budget goals, maintaining safety programs, engaging employees, and developing talent with a strong emphasis on ethical conduct and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Able to direct large staff.
• Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills.
• Collaborative and able to build high-performance teams.
• Strong leadership with judgement of talent and coaching ability.
• State certification as required by regulation.

Responsibilities

• Safety: lead safety goals, remove unsafe conditions, partner with maintenance for equipment safety.
• Customer Experience: meet or exceed customer expectations and resolve issues promptly.
• Efficiency: establish productivity goals, manage labor hours and disposal costs.
• Employee Engagement: develop talent, coach for advancement and foster teamwork.
