Job summary

Waste Pro USA Inc. is seeking a Landfill Spotter to ensure proper placement and sorting of materials and to guide customers safely in the landfill. The role requires assisting with sorting, directing customers, pulling recyclable metals, and maintaining safe, compliant operations.

Ideal candidates will be able to follow SOPs, report safety factors, and participate in regular safety/operations meetings. Candidates should be able to work in a team and manage daily reporting requirements.

• Ability to read, write and comprehend reports well enough to complete daily assignments.

Responsibilities

• Inspect materials and sort items or materials into piles prepping for the Equipment Operator.
• Direct Customers where to safely dump their debris at the landfill.
• Pull metal and lead items from piles being disposed.
• Monitor piles to ensure they are the appropriate size.
• Remove items that can be recycled and are not acceptable for disposal at the landfill.
• Follow appropriate standard operating procedures (SOPs) as guideline for operating and maintaining equipment.
• Report any worker-public safety factors.
• Attend weekly/monthly safety/operations meetings.
