Job summary

Waste Pro USA in Broussard, LA is seeking a Greenpoint Landfill Laborer to help sort and guide customers at the landfill. You will inspect materials, direct dumping, pull metal, monitor pile sizes, and help maintain safety SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect materials and sort items or materials into piles prepping for the Equipment Operator.
• Direct Customers where to safely dump their debris at the landfill.
• Pull metal and lead items from piles being disposed.
• Monitor piles to ensure they are the appropriate size.
• Remove items that can be recycled and are not acceptable for disposal at the landfill.
• Follow appropriate standard operating procedures (SOPs) as guideline for operating and maintaining equipment.
• Report any worker-public safety factors.
• Attend weekly/monthly safety/operations meetings.
