Job summary

Waste-Pro in Louisiana is seeking a Landfill Spotter to guide customers and ensure proper placement and sorting of waste at the landfill. You will help keep operations safe and efficient in an outdoor work environment.

Key tasks include inspecting materials, directing where to dump debris, removing recyclable items, monitoring pile sizes, and following SOPs. You will report safety concerns and attend regular safety and operations meetings.

Qualifications

• Follow safe operating practices.
• Learn and use interpersonal skills for customer service.
• Read, write and comprehend reports to complete daily assignments.

Responsibilities

• Inspect materials and sort items into piles prepping for the Equipment Operator.
• Direct customers where to safely dump debris at the landfill.
• Pull metal and lead items from piles being disposed.
• Monitor piles to ensure they are the appropriate size.
• Remove items that can be recycled and are not acceptable for disposal at the landfill.
• Follow SOPs as guideline for operating and maintaining equipment.
• Report any worker-public safety factors.
• Attend weekly/monthly safety/operations meetings.
