Job summary

Waste Management is seeking a dedicated Laborer to perform essential tasks at a landfill, including picking up windblown paper and directing traffic to maintain safety and flow.

Responsibilities include operating a mobile vacuum and tractor along the landfill perimeter, lifting materials for maintenance, and sorting recyclables on the tipping floor, all while adhering to safety protocols and site rules.

Qualifications

• Licenses as required by Local, State, Federal and/or Health/SafetyRegulatory agencies.
• This role is safety sensitive and may require drug and alcohol testing as per policy.

Responsibilities

• Manually picks up windblown paper along the landfill perimeter and directs traffic at the site entrance.
• Operates a mobile vacuum and tractor to collect loose paper and debris around the landfill edge.
• Directs traffic during busy summer periods using signals and verbal directions.
• Lifts construction materials and uses hand tools for site maintenance.
