Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of prior heavy equipment operation preferred.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the US.
• Physical ability to perform duties in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assists in maintenance and upkeep of the landfill site.
• Performs pre/post operation inspections per safety standards.
• Monitors waste for unacceptable or hazardous material.
• Monitors equipment condition to minimize downtime; clean tracks or wheels as needed.
• Performs minor service on equipment; refers major issues to maintenance shop.
• Operates heavy equipment following safety and training protocols.
• Observes troubleshooting procedures when issues arise.
• Assists technicians with maintenance and communicates mechanical issues.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Participates in training and company programs to support core values.
