Republic Services is hiring a Landfill Heavy Equipment Operator in St George, UT. You will operate heavy machinery to move and compact waste, perform safety inspections, and help maintain yard and equipment readiness daily.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior related experience in heavy equipment operation.
• One year of prior experience working at sites regulated by OSHA.
• Ability to perform pre- and post-operation inspections and follow safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspection of equipment and ensure windows, lights, mirrors and rear view camera are clean.
• Safely operate equipment including forklift, excavator, bulldozer, front-end loader and other equipment.
• Monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable waste in materials.
• Document minor service and Equipment Condition Reports; report repairs as needed.
• Maintain a clean, serviced shop area and store equipment after each shift.
